To Succeed Or Not To Succeed…?

That is the question…

And the answer is (what we Aussies would say), “a no-brainer”!
(And just in case someone doesn’t know the answer – it’s succeed!)

Frankly, what is the point of having a righteous Sovereign God, His Word to us, A Lord Jesus that died for us and a Holy Spirit to empower us if They all are very happy for us to live a defeated, failing life here on earth – that’s a real example for His Kingdom isn’t it!!??!! – Makes you want to ‘join up’ real fast…no thinking person could ever agree with a poverty, sickness and ‘we simply have to accept what life dishes up to us’ approach. How the poverty and sickness people peddle that doctrine is beyond me! Even common sense disagrees! For example, the Scriptures clearly explain about the value and importance of our "name". If you can't pay your bills how will that affect "our good name" - it's not rocket science is it??

Let's look at a few verses:

“In everything he did he had great success because the Lord was with him”. 1 Samuel 18:14 - David’s life…
“And the Lord was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook”. 2 Kings 18:7 - Hezekiah’s life…
“…the God of Heaven will give us success” – Nehemiah 2:20 – Nehemiah’s life…
“I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear Him and do what is right…” Acts 10:34 – Peter and the Apostle’s lives…and us too! (NIV verses)

The Bottom Line: We must be totally honest with ourselves and identify any reasons for failure occurring in our own lives. Constantly read and study Jesus’ life and God’s Word, asking that He reveal the areas of your own life that is in disagreement to His Word. Arguably there is nothing on earth worse than living in error…and errors in our lives must be rectified from wisdom from the Scriptures.
